Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals Company (SIDPEC) revenues climbed 13% in the first half of 2026, year on year (YoY), to EGP 8.53 billion, according to a disclosure on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).
Despite stronger sales, net profit fell 51% to EGP 508 million. The figures highlight the strain of rising costs and thinner margins even as demand for petrochemical products remained firm.
In its full-year 2025 results, SIDPEC reported total sales of EGP 14.4 billion and a net profit of EGP 1.138 billion. The company said its performance remained resilient despite rising natural gas and polymer prices amid regional geopolitical tensions.
SIDPEC is one of Egypt’s largest producers of polyethylene and other petrochemical derivatives. The company’s performance is closely tied to global oil and gas price trends, as well as domestic industrial demand.
