Infinity Solar is currently developing a 100 MW wind facility at Zaafarana in order to support the government’s renewable energy program, a source at Infinity Solar told Amwal Al Ghad.

The company has also bidded for a number of other projects recently put forward by the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, the official stated.

Solar and wind projects form a key component of the government’s strategy to generate 20% renewable energy by 2022, an important step towards achieving the state’s sustainable energy program for 2035.

Infinity Solar finished the construction of a $140 million, 50 MW solar plant in Upper Egypt at the beginning of 2018.
