Ghana’s Belmet 7 has completed gas export manifold for UK’s Tullow Oil and loaded onshore at the Takoradi Port for both Jubilee and TEN oil fields offshore at the West Cape Three Point in the western region, Ecofin Agency Oil and Gas reported.

Belmet 7 manufactured the manifold  at the Takoradi Port as the terminal is positioned to becoming a world class oil and gas service hub in West Africa. The manifold weighs 145 tons and took 1,000 man-hours to completed manufacturing over the course of eight months, with 95% of Ghanarian trades men, according to Business & Financial Times.

The company is a joint venture between Belmet Ghana and Subsea 7, in which Belmet Ghana owns a 51% shareholding and Subsea 7 has a 49% shareholding.

In related news, Egypt Oil&Gas reported that Tullow Oil has announced its first oil from the Tweneboa, Enyenra and Ntomme (TEN) fields, offshore Ghana in August.
