El Molla Honors Graduates of the Middle Management Program Phase 2

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla honored the graduates of the Middle Management Program Phase 2, an initiative to generate and develop leaders as well as boost capacity building for middle management employees of the oil and gas sector, the ministry said in a statement.

This comes in light of the partnership with the American Chamber of Commerce and major international oil companies operating in Egypt to launch and sponsor the training program. It was implemented in accordance with the latest international practices in order to enhance human development.

This joyous occasion came during a meeting held by the Minister with the graduates from the young and medium cadres of the oil and gas sector companies, in the presence of Sylvia Menassa, CEO of the American Chamber of Commerce in Cairo, and leaders from corporations sponsoring the program in Egypt, including Apache, ExxonMobil, Chevron, Baker Hughes, Bechtel, SLB, Honeywell, bp, Apex, Shell, and TotalEnergies. This was also in the presence of other oil sector leaders and heads of a number of sector companies.

El Molla explained in his speech to the graduates that this program was launched in accordance with the vision of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to invest in the human element as one of the pillars of modernizing the sector.

The program aimed to give young talents the opportunity to learn about the latest practices, experiences and modern methods in the largest international companies and to gain different experiences that add to their professional career as a step on the road to preparing them for the future and in a way that contributes to providing future Egyptian leaders and competencies at the highest level capable of serving their country and not the oil and gas sector alone.

The minister stressed the achievement of the principle of equal opportunities in selecting those enrolled in the program through multiple stages of tests that are subject to criteria of equality and transparency in selection.

The minister called on the graduates to do their utmost to work sincerely to achieve benefit from their capabilities and competence for the benefit of their country and to believe in its continuous support for them in order to develop their abilities and put them on the path to success.

El Molla honored the top ten graduates of the program and handed them certificates of completion.

It is noteworthy that the second edition of the Young and Middle Management program in the oil and gas sector worked on selecting the best young talents, as 416 young and medium management cadres in the oil and gas sector companies joined it after successfully passing the evaluation processes and various tests that were conducted to achieve equal opportunities among the applicants.
