Modern Gas, an Egytian joint stock company with operations in both Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), announced the successful completion and operation of its integrated natural gas project in Al Jubail Island in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The project involved establishing a natural gas pressure reduction station with a capacity of 3,000 cubic meters per hour and the extension of the main steel pipeline feeding the island. It also included building the first phase of the natural gas network stretching over 30 kilometers-within the island. This phase would supply the areas of Ain Al Maha; Marfaa Al Jubail; Souq Al Jubail; the Marina; Bada Al Jubail; and SPV– the most prominent upscale urban communities in the UAE- with Gas.
Modern Gas was comissioned by the Emirati ADNOC City Gas to be responsible for the design, supply, implementation, and operation of the project.
“The project enhances the expansion of Egyptian oil and gas companies abroad and confirm their leading positin in major projects that meet the highest international standards”,noted a press rlease of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.
Modern Gas Chairman Mohamed Qandil stated that the project is an accurate reflection of the capabilities of Egyptian companies to implement international infrastructure projects. It also reflects the high efficiency and competitiveness of Egyptian skilled professionals in the energy sector.
Furthermore, he affirmed that this achievement showcases Modern Gas’ commitment to supporting the Egyptian state’s stance on the regional and international contribution to strategic projects that enhance cooperation and integration in the field of energy at the regional level.
