Egyptian, Lebanese Petroleum Unions Sign Cooperation Protocol

During the signing of a joint cooperation protocol between the Egyptian General Trade Union for Petroleum Workers (GTUPW) and the Lebanese Federation of Petroleum Employees and Workers’ Unions (FPW) in Lebanon on Sunday October 6, 2019, Mohamed Saafan, the Minister of Manpower, asserted the importance of the bilateral relations between Egypt and Lebanon, which are based on the principle of mutual respect and continuous consultation and coordination of views.

GTUPW Chairman Mohamed Goubran attended the event and pointed out that the most important features of the protocol are to strengthen trade union relations between the two countries, to exchange visits and meetings between the two unions, and to hold training courses for Lebanese trade union leaders in the workers’ institution in Cairo, according to Al Shorouk Newspaper.
