Egypt, U.S Strengthen Energy Partnership During ADIPEC 2025 Talks

On the sidelines of his participation in the Abu Dahbi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) 2025, Karim Badawi, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, met with Doug Burgum, U.S Secretary of the Interior and Chairman of the National Energy Dominance Council. Both sides discussed ways to enhance Egypt strategic partnership with U.S in the energy domain.

During the meeting, they discussed avenues for providing technical support, financing, and the transfer of expertise to Egypt in energy. They also discussed enhancing the investments of U.S. companies operating in Egypt, particularly ExxonMobil, Chevron, and Apache.

Furthermore, the two sides further looked into regional cooperation to ensure the optimal utilization of natural gas resources in the East Mediterranean and leverage Egypt’s infrastructure to process and re-export these resources to global markets.

Minister Badawi has met with other companies leaders, including Eni and Chevron, on the sidelines of ADIPEC to discuss cooperation opportunities.
