Egypt and Jordan signed amendment agreement for the agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoU) between the natural gas companies in the two countries, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.

The signing came during the meeting of Egyptian Minister of Petroleum, Tarek El Molla, with his Jordanian counterpart, Hala el Zawati, on January 13.

The signed agreements organize the natural gas selling and purchasing cycle between the two countries, in terms of operating the pipelines and networks of natural gas in a suitable way with Jordan’s circumstances and rush hours in Jordan’s electricity generating plants. In addition, the natural gas Egyptian firms will participate in conducting natural gas delivery projects in Jordan.

The agreements with Jordan come in line with the strategic cooperation between the two countries in the fields of oil, gas and energy, El Molla said after the signing.

El Zawati praised the exceptional and high professional level of Jordanian Egyptian FAJR Company, adding that Egyptian oil companies are considered the best working in Jordan.
