Chairman of Cooperation Petroleum Company (Copetrole) Nasser Shouman and the CEO and Managing Director of Orange Egypt Yasser Shaker witnessed the signature of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to provide digitalization services.
According to the MoU, Orange will provide Copetrole with e-pay services via mobile phones and Orange cash at several stations of the company in Cairo, Alexandria and North Coast as a trial phase.
The MoU was signed by the Marketing General Manager at Copetrole and the Chief Transformation and Operational Efficiency Officer of Orange Egypt Noel Chateau.
Shouman stated that the MoU demonstrates Copetrole’s commitment to the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ strategy to expand the digitization services and technological support to adapt with the new technological developments.
Shaker expressed his pride for Orange’s cooperation with Copetrole, which owns more than 1,200 stations around Egypt. He added that the use of electronic wallets at fueling stations reflects his company’s vision for the future.
