BAPETCO’s Obaiyed Team Eradicates Waste Burning

Badr El Din Petroleum Company (BAPETCO), under the patronage of Ashraf Abdel Gawad, the company’s Chairman, and Shamrendra Singh, General Manager & Managing Director, has announced the success of the Obaiyed site work team in completely eliminating the process of burning waste and recycling it, in cooperation with the solid waste recycling plant in Marsa Matrouh Governorate.

This comes within the framework of implementing the petroleum sector strategy to reduce heat emissions to achieve the Egyptian state’s COP27 vision and coinciding with the celebration of World Environment Day.

Managing, recycling, and creating a work environment free of waste without affecting the production process is one of the challenges that faced the Obaiyed work team. In this regard, the team was highly successful in overcoming this challenge.

This endeavor also had a positive impact on Bedouin communities, supporting their farms and profitable micro-projects.

BAPETCO provides good training to prepare cadres capable of carrying out waste separation work appropriately, as well as providing storage containers appropriate to the size of the waste resulting from the separation work. This is done while adhering to the color codes for each type of waste until the final transport stage to the recycling plant.

The company also works to increase awareness among its employees and food processors in order to provide sources of wealth that will raise society, preserve its capabilities, and manage them well in a constructive manner.
