The American operator Apache commenced the drilling of two exploratory oil-producing wells located in its Western Desert concession area.

The drilling of the WKANL-1x and TELL-1x wells has averaged $6.164 million in investments. They were drilled to the depth of 10,300 and 12,500 feet, using the EDC-59 and EDC-57 rigs respectively.  The initial output of the new wells has yet to be included to the company’s production rates.
