Alexandria National Refining and Petrochemical Company (ANRPC) Chairman Sayed El-Rawi has stated that the company produced 30% of the total local production of the two types of high octane 92 and 95 estimated at 1.9 million tons.

The statement came during the general assembly meeting of the company in attendance of the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to approve the operational results of the fiscal year (FY) 2023/24.

He mentioned the most notable performance indication of the company during the meeting which demonstrated tangible progress in the production rates aligned with the commitment of all health, safety, and environmental measures.

The assembly witnessed a presentation of the development that was carried out to raise the efficiency of the units to reach the highest production rates with a high level of commitment to safe operation by implementing the recommendations and requirements necessary for managing the safety of operations in the units and warehouses at ANRPC.

The planned and ongoing projects were also presented, especially the project of exploiting the surplus of hydrogen as a fuel for boilers, which is being implemented by ANRPC in cooperation with Mitsubishi.

This project reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 57,000 tons annually and also saves the consumption of 31,000 tons of natural gas, which can be used in many other activities.

This is besides the project of expanding the storage capacity by establishing a new warehouse with a capacity of 10,000 tons for transporting and storing products, in addition to the necessary facilities and infrastructures, within the framework of keenness to diversify sources of supply to maintain its production capacity.
