Agiba Petroleum Company has increased its crude oil production to nearly 45,000 barrels per day (b/d) from its fields in the Western Desert and the Gulf of Suez, a source at Agiba Petroleum said to Amwal Al Ghad newspaper.

Bringing wells at South Meleiha field online at the end of the first half of 2019 has remarkably contributed to the rise of crude oil production to 4500 b/d.

Agiba managed to boost its production from Faras field in the Western Desert, resulting in the company to exceed the limit of 4100 b/d, let alone 4,000 b/d, pumped by Ashrafi field in the Gulf of Suez.
