Egypt to Turn 27 MM Electricity Meters into Prepaid Ones

Mohamed Shaker, the Minister of Electricity and Renewable energy handed a massive operation that aims to turn around 27 million electricity meters into prepaid ones, to the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI), El Sewedy Electric, Iskraemeco, Electro Meter Corporation (EMC), El Maasara Company and Global Company.

El Sewedy Electric Begins Commercial Operations in PV Power Plants

The projects’ capacity is 130 megawatt peak (MWp), with estimated annual 290-gigawatt per hour (GWh) of electricity produced by both projects, which will power more than 140,000 households while avoiding more than 120,000 tons of carbon dioxide a year.
