El Molla: Al-Hamra Port to Increase Capacity to 2.6 mmbbl

The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, stated that Al-Hamra port in the Mediterranean region will increase its oil production from 1.5 to 2.6 million barrels (mmbbl), which represent 73.3% to transform Egypt into a regional hub for oil and gas.

Al-Hamra port is likely to increase the petroleum trade and exports by 1 million barrels per day (mmbbl/d) at an estimated cost of $100 million, Hamdy Abdel Aziz, the official spokesman of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources stated.
