Egypt to Connect 1.2m Households to National Gas Grid

Tarek el Molla, Egypt's Petroleum Minister said "The oil sector is to adopt a new strategy to increase natural gas delivery rates to 1.2 million homes across Egypt this fiscal year (2015/2016)," reported Amwal Al Ghad. The decision comes part of the country's Household National Natural Gas Connection Project.

EGPC’s Plan to Avoid Power Shortage in Eid

The percentage is set at a lower than expected rate due the drop in world oil prices. This move is expected to save EGP 4b as part of the 5-year subsidy reform plan, with a sum reaching EGP 60b.

Tarek El-Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, said that encouraging the establishment of small and medium-sized petrochemical companies will provide two advantages.
