Oil Ministry Spokesman Denies Rumors About Natural Gas Price Hikes

Egyptian Oil Ministry Spokesman Hamdy Abdel Aziz rejected rumors about a possible increase in natural gas prices, regarding figures published on social media as false. The official natural gas prices were published across official channels in January, and hence all the rumors are not correct, Abdel Aziz stated on El Hekaya, one of Egypt's nightly broadcast programs. 

El Molla Holds Meetings with German, Belgian, Bulgarian Counterparts at MEFED 2022

Egypt, Jordan Ink MoU to Boost Expertise Exchange

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with his Jordanian counterpart Saleh Al-Kharabsheh during the MENA Europe Future Energy Dialogue (MEFED 2022) to support and enhance cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of mineral resources, petrochemical industries, and oil and gas.

This comes as the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced the sector's achievements during the period from July 2014 to June 2022. The sector's milestones include the launch of 10 international bids during that period to search for oil and gas in the onshore and offshore areas in the Mediterranean, the Red Sea, the Delta, the Western and Eastern Deserts, the Gulf of Suez and Upper Egypt.
