GASCO Boosts Western Desert Complex Capacity to 1.5 bcf/d

he total production capacity of the Egyptian Natural Gas Company (GASCO)'s Western Desert Gas Complex reached 1.5 billion cubic feet per day (bcf/d)  following the launch of trial operations for the new "Train D" production line, according to a statement by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (MoPMR). Mohamed Marzouk, GASCO Chairman, said that the new line added 600 million cubic feet  (mmcf/d) in the complex's capacity, with actual operating rates already exceeding 500 mmcf/d.

EDC Revenues Surge 88.5% in 2025

In 2025, the Egyptian Drilling Company (EDC) revenues reached around $402 million, compared to $213.23 million in fiscal year 2024. Net profit after taxes recorded at $132 million dollars, and a high operational efficiency of 98.8%, Osama Kamel, EDC Chairman and MD, stated during the general assembly meeting attended by Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, via video conference.

Modern Gas Posts 49.6 % Increase in Profits in 2025

Modern Gas, an Egyptian joint-stock company, recorded a net profit of EGP 209 million during fiscal year (FY) 2025, yielding a 49.6% year-on-year (YoY) growth rate, according to Wael Gowayed, the company’s Chairman. He reported the figures during the General Assembly convened via videoconference, noting that revenues reached EGP 4.169 billion, a 14% increase compared to 2024.

Petroleum Arrows Delivers 27% Profit Growth in 2025

The Petroleum Arrows Company recorded a 27% year-on-year (YoY) increase in net profit during fiscal year (FY) 2025, driven by the transport of 4.7 billion liters of liquid petroleum products and 957,000 tons of butane gas. Mahmoud El-Kaffas, the company’s Chairman, reported these results during the General Assembly convened via videoconference to approve the year’s financial performance.

Cabinet Approves two Concession Agreements for Oil and Gas Exploration

The Egyptian Cabinet approved a draft concession agreement for the exploration and exploitation of natural gas and crude oil in the Lotus offshore area in the Mediterranean Sea between the Egyptian government, the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), and Chevron Egypt Holdings Ltd. The agreement, involving the US-based Chevron, is part of broader legislative approval for two concessions that require a minimum investment of $85 million.
