In the closing day of the Mediterranean Offshore Conference (MOC 2024), which was held in Alexandria for three days, a session was held on "Employing Digital Capabilities to Accelerate the Development of Energy Resources". The session highlighted the importance of digital transformation in all petroleum activities for its significant role in data analyzation, to speed up decision-making.
On the second day of the Mediterranean Offshore Conference (MOC 2024), a panel session titled “Integrated Reservoir Management Simulation and Technology-Driven Optimization for Enhanced Production” was held. During the session, Salah Abdel Karim, CEO of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), highlighted the potential of Egypt’s reservoirs and liquefied natural gas (LNG) plants, emphasizing the opportunity to apply integrated reservoir management simulation to boost production.
Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi, George Papanastasiou, Cypriot Minister of Energy; and Polly Loannou, Cyprus Ambassador to Egypt, visited Natural Gas production facilities and the Liquified Natural Gas Complex in Idku on the Mediterranean coast.
