Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Karim Badawi, visited the headquarters of Shell International in London, where he reviewed the status of Shell’s projects in Egypt across the Mediterranean, Red Sea, and Western Delta regions.
On the sidelines of his visit to the UK, Karim Badawi Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, held a meeting with the Carlyle Group, where they discussed the company’s plans for investing in Egypt and expanding its field’s exploration and development activities.
The Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) signed an agreement on December 5th, with the US-based company New Fortress Energy to lease the second Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) for the local market. The unit will receive, store, regasify, and deliver liquefied natural gas (LNG) to the national gas grid.
