In the frame of his visit to the United Kingdom, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi held a meeting with officials from Shard Capital and Alqahtani Holding Company to discuss the latest developments in the petrochemical project underway in New Alamein.

This project is one of the most significant initiatives in Egypt, aligning with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (MoPMR) strategy to enhance the value derived from the country’s resources and boost production levels.

The meeting also included a presentation outlining the plans of both companies to expand their operations in Egypt, in collaboration with several national and international companies currently active in the country.
