bp Egypt has announced the appointment of Wail Shaheen as Vice President Egypt, effective 1 November 2023.
Wail is a reservoir engineer by background with 30 years of industry experience. He brings a wealth of knowledge and insights from a wide range of technical, commercial, and leadership roles in Canada, Egypt, Indonesia, Italy, Oman, Trinidad and Tobago, and the USA. This included the Cypre project in Trinidad and Tobago, Tangguh Train 3 in Indonesia, and the development of the Khazzan/Ghazir project in the Sultanate of Oman. Wail also contributed to developing and leading the exploration and petroleum engineering talents at BP globally throughout his career.
