US Firms Show Interest in EGAS Offshore Bidding

Exploration and production (E&P) bidding for offshore concession in the Mediterranean Sea, under the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) is due to close on November 29th, said Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum, according to Reuters.

El Molla declined naming potential companies bidding in the tender, adding that there was “an increase in appetite from different American companies and we will see this in practical ways when the closing of the bidding rounds and submission of offers.”

Egypt is planning to open another bid round for concessions in the Red Sea before the end of 2018, El Molla pointed out.
