Chevron announced that the production at its Tengizchevroil (TCO) field located in Kazakhstan is back to normal after it was paused last week due to protests, Reuters reported.
The company said that the working environment is now stable and production has returned to its usual rates.
Recently, production from the field declined because some contractors stopped the train lines to show support for the protests.
On a global scale, Kazakhstan is a major player in the oil industry producing 1.6 million barrels per day (mmbbl/d) during the last months and 700,000 bbl/d from its Tengiz oilfield, according to sources mentioned in the report from Reuters.
