TaTNEFT Develops Technology Reduces Carbon Footprint

TaTNEFT Company announced that its TatNIPIneft’s experts have developed a technology aims at constructing a well with a production string made of fiberglass casing pipes, a press release reported.

This new technology allows increasing the performance reliability of wells and reducing the carbon footprint in the crude oil production.

The company explained that using fiberglass production strings allows reducing the cost of heavy production strings maintenance associated with corrosion of steel casing pipes.

It also reduces the costs of ensuring cathodic protection of the production steel to zero.

TATNEF noted that ten wells have been successfully built using the fiberglass casing string pipes, indicating that it will apply this technology on all its projects.
