Algeria’s Sonatrach Company has expressed a desire to invest in the field of oil and gas in Sudan. This came during the meeting of the Sudanese Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil and Gas Engineer, Awad Al-Karim Mohamed Khair, with a visiting Algerian technical delegation, All Africa reported.
The Head of the delegation of Algerian Sonatrach Company reviewed investment possibilities, stressing their desire to invest in the exploration and production of oil in Sudan.
Accordingly Khair pledged to provide the adequate assistance to the delegation to enable both sides to reach an agreement, informed Sweet Crude.
The Algerian visit to Sudan came within the framework of the outcomes of a meeting between the Ministers of Oil and Gas in the two countries held recently in Algeria for the exchange of experiences and cooperation. Sonatrach’s delegation consisted of a number of technicians who were briefed on the opportunities available in Sudan and the blocks prepared for investment.
