Sonatrach: Algerian Fuel Cargo Arrives in Lebanon

Sonatrach has delivered 30,000 tons of fuel to Lebanon at the port of Tripoli via the company’s tanker “IN ECKER”, which left the oil port of Skikda.

This followed President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s decision in August 18 to provide Lebanon with the energy necessary to ensure the supply of Lebanese power plants and contribute to the restoration of electricity in the country.

This fuel produced at the Skikda Refinery, is characterized by its high energy quality and low sulfur content, a necessary condition to produce electricity, as Sonatrach said on Tuesday.

For his part, the Lebanese Minister of Energy and Water Walid Fayad, welcomed this gift of solidarity, expressing his thanks to Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and to the Algerian people for this initiative.
