Sinai Gas Delivers Natural Gas to Nabaq Bay

Sinai Gas is now delivering natural gas to Nabaq Bay in Sharm El-Sheikh with 90% completion of the project and an investment of EGP 250 million, according to a press release.

The project has delivered natural gas to 55 tourist facilities and hotels, in addition to 55 land plots for future tourist facilities. Furthermore, 2,600 housing units and 144 tourist and commercial facilities have been connected with natural gas in Sharm El-Sheikh, in addition to ground networks and external installations of 1,100 housing units in Ruwaisat.

Payment for natural gas delivery will be collected through a six-year period of EGP 30 per month. Natural gas delivery will extend to Al-Safa district, as well as to the areas of East Al-Arish, including Al-Obour, Raisah, and Abu Saqal districts.

In New Ismailia, the ground networks and external installations were connected to 12,000 housing units. There are currently several developing projects in Sinai including natural gas delivery to the Al-Salam city, east of Port Said in cooperation with the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities. Moreover, 5,000 units have been connected with natural gas from the residential project which consists of 418 residential buildings and 8,360 housing units.

Since 2010, natural gas has been delivered to 25,000 clients in Al-Arish, and it continues to be so, despite the comprehensive military operations in Sinai, through coordinating with the North Sinai governorate and the security authorities.
