Sharm El Sheikh’s Gas Plant Slated for Construction

South Sinai Governor, Khlaed Fouda, announced that the a 5,000m plot of land has been assigned to the National Petroleum Company (NPC), a subsidiary of the Armed Forces national service department . The land is allocated to the construction of a natural gas plant in Al Salam City, the first of its kind in Sharm El Sheikh area, along Egypt’s Red Sea coast, reported Al Watan News.

The governorate’s Manager of Urban Development, Medhat Salah said that in coordination with the city of Sharm El Sheikh and NPC, the plot, which is adjacent to a Wataneyia Petrol Station, has been handed over to the company in preparation for the beginning of the project, with operations in the plant scheduled to start within 6 months.
