Seven countries have voiced their official support for the Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC) in a joint statement, Reuters reported.
The support for NOC comes as Libya’s legitimate authority of the country’s energy sector, according to the statement supported by the UAE, the US, Germany, France, the UK, Italy, and Turkey.
“For the sake of Libya’s political and economic stability, and the well-being of all its citizens we exclusively support the NOC,” the statement read.
Libya has achieved a total of $14.3 billion (LYD 20.2) in oil revenues during the first eight months of the year, as shown by the most recent data of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL).
Oil revenues accounted for around 92.66% of the total government income during the eight-month period from January to August 2019.
