Prime Minister Praises MoPMR’s Proactive Response to Citizen Complaints

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly expressed his appreciation to several government agencies and ministries including Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (MoPMR) which responding positively the complaints especially during the current challenges.

This came during the periodic meeting in which he reviews the efforts of the Cabinet’s Unified Government Complaints System.

Tarek El Refaei, Director of the Unified Government Complaints System,elaborated that number of ministries including the MoPMR achieved progress and distinguished response both quantitatively and qualitatively, in dealing with and addressing the causes of complaints.

 He stated that MoPMR dealt with 3754 complaints and reports, including complaints and requests to extend grid, install meters and natural gas connections to homes, inspections and complaints of high gas bills.

Also, the Ministry dealt seriously with alleged gas leaks, upon receipt by directing emergency teams from various companies to the locations of complaints and reports in order to stop the leak once the validity of the complaints and reports is confirmed to protect lives and property, while raising awareness of how to avoid the causes of accidents and deal correctly with networks, connections and devices. 

The companies affiliated with the ministry dealt with the causes and responded to citizens’ complaints and requests and responded to 3398 complaints and reports of the month’s complaints, in addition to 1724 complaints from previous periods.
