Belayim Petroleum Company (Petrobel) Chairman Khaled Mowafy received the EGPC Deputy Chairman for Production Tamer Idris, Deputy CEO for Agreements & Exploration at EGPC Mohamed Mohy, President of IEOC, Francesco Gaspari, and other officials in the frame of conducting a field visit to the Sinai oil fields Abu Rudeis operated by Petrobel.
The visit commenced with a safety briefing, reinforcing workers’ commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards in operations.
Mowafy presented several models for agreements between Petrobel and IEOC Production, highlighting a long-standing partnership dating back to the 1950s. He emphasized that this strategic collaboration has contributed significantly to Petrobel’s successes and will continue to strengthen future cooperation and support production growth.
Moafy further outlined the company’s safety and environmental protection policies, reaffirming its adherence to the highest safety standards to safeguard workers and production assets.
He discussed the implementation of preventive measures and modern technologies to enhance operational safety, ensuring a secure and sustainable work environment that supports high-efficiency production.
Mowafy highlighted the promising exploration opportunities in the Abu Rudeis oil fields, stressing that the company is focused on expanding exploration and development activities to increase production rates. He underscored the importance of investing in human capital as a fundamental driver of sustainable development in the petroleum sector.
In his turn, Idris expressed his appreciation for visiting the Sinai oil fields, emphasizing their historical significance as one of Egypt’s oldest oil fields and their crucial contribution to the national economy. He praised the workers’ dedication and urged them to continue their efforts in overcoming challenges and increasing oil and gas production.
For his part, Gaspari lauded Petrobel workers for their relentless efforts to maximize production, emphasizing the importance of expanding cooperation between Petrobel and IEOC Production.
As part of the field tour, the delegation visited the crude oil collection and shipping station in Feiran. They inspected advanced monitoring systems for crude oil tanks and assessed the station’s integration of digital transformation and modern technologies in operational processes.
Concluding the tour, the delegation visited Drilling Rig 59, operated by the Egyptian Drilling Company (EDC), to monitor drilling operations at the West Feiran-2 well. They inspected the drilling equipment and technologies deployed to optimize performance.
At the end of the visit, Mowafy , Idris, and Gaspari extended their greetings to workers on the occasion of Ramadan, highlighting the importance of adhering to safety measures while maintaining operational efficiency.
