Petroleum Gas Company (Petrogas) plans to fill around 3.9 million tons of butane during fiscal year (FY) 2018/2019 in order to meet local market’s demands, Petrogas’ Head, Adel Al Shuwaikh, stated; Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
The company plans to preserve and develop production and boost efficiency through a number of projects related to securing and filling butane cylinders, as well as to maintain and rehabilitating cylinders, in addition to projects to raise the efficiency of health, safety and environment (HSE) systems, Al Shuwaikh said during the general assembly chaired by Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, to review and authorize Petrogas’ 2018/2019 budget.
The Egyptian oil and gas sector is taking steps to increase butane reserves through implementing several projects including establishing new warehouses and pipelines, as well as adding butane production units in existing refineries and expanding pipelines to connect these refineries to petroleum products distribution grid, El Molla said.
