Oman will be the first country in the Middle East to host the International Gas Union Research Conference (IGCRC) next year, Times of Oman reported.

The international conference and exhibition will be held under the patronage of Oman’s Ministry of Oil and Gas and will be organized by Oman LNG and the International Gas Union (IGU).

More than 1,000 participants from about 40 countries are expected in the event that will take place in Muscat, Oman’s capital city, on 24-26 February 2020.

The Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre has been set as the venue for the IGCRC 2020.

Discussed topics will range from the future of energy and technology to the role of gas in transportation.
