The Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Emmanuel Kachikwu, said contracts to be awarded by the corporation would henceforth be made public, according to AllAfrica.com.

“Contracts will be made open to the public and we will choose the best module that works for us and that helps us save money. We need to clean the system and carry everybody along. The concept of what is right and wrong will take us very far,” Mr. Kachikwu stressed.

Kachikwu noted that it was the right of Nigerians to know how the money being made by the NNPC is being spent, noting that it should not be a privilege, hence his determination to make the corporation accountable to all Nigerians, Daily Independent reported.
