Militants closed the Mellita complex pipeline for 30 hours last week, the Libya Observer reports.
The temporary closure slowed production from the Wafa field and prevented the transit of 310 million cubic feet (mcf) of natural gas and approximately 12,000 barrels of condensates, Reuters reports based on a statement by the National Oil Corporation (NOC). According to the company, the disruption cost it $2.17 million. The disruption occurred September 7th-9th.
The Wafa field is located in western Libya.
