Militants Bomb Delta Oil Pipeline In Nigeria

A militant group, Niger Delta Greenland Justice Mandate, have attacked two oil installation owned by the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) at Owhrode community, Udu local government area of Delta State. The group reportedly blew up a major trunk line which feeds Eriemu Manifold, Vangurard reported.

This attack comes barely 24 hours after the group had threatened to carry out major attacks on oil installations in the upland of the Niger Delta region should the federal government fail to hear them out, according to the Daily Post.

The Niger Delta Greenland Justice Mandate is a coalition of militias across the Niger Delta region, claiming to fight for the interest of the region. The group decried that the government and oil companies have marginalized the people of the upland Niger Delta.
