LNG Exports From Idku Plant Soar on Back of Price Rising

Egyptian Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) exports from the Shell-operated Idku plant have increased to nine cargoes since the end of October compared to six cargoes during the first quarter of 2020 and one cargo between the end of the first and end of October, S&P Global Platts Analytics reported.

It elaborated that this increase came in light of the rise of Cargo LNG prices. According to the S&P data, six cargoes of those nine have reached their destination in Pakistan, Kuwait, China, India and United Kingdom (UK), but the other three are still on the sea.

Egyptian LNG exports were close to a halt in March after the LNG’s price drop.
