Ahmad Abdullah Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister of Kuwait, received Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and the Ministers of Petroleum and Energy participating in the Ministerial Meeting of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) in Kuwait and the Secretary-General of the Organization, Jamal Al Loughani, in the presence of the Kuwaiti Minister of Oil, Tareq Al-Roumi.

During a meeting , the parties discussed the role of the organization in enhancing aspects of Arab cooperation in the field of energy to achieve common goals and interests.
