Kuwait Oil Company announced a state of emergency due to oil spill in the western part of the country, Al-Arabiya reported.

There were no injuries resulting from the leakage and the production operations were not affected, in addition to not detecting any toxic gases at the accident site, according to Qusai El-Amer, Kuwait Oil Company’s official spokesman.

El-Amer also noted that the concerned teams in the company are present at the accident site and deal with the accidents according to the procedures followed in the company.
