The Kuwait Oil Tanker Company (KOTC) received the Shegardiah oil tanker from South Korean manufacturer Hyundai Mipo Dockyard on April 28, according to KUNA.

The Shegardiah oil tanker is the newest addition to the Kuwaiti shipping fleet and is one of eight new tankers from the contract signed with the Korean ship builder in April 2018.

CEO of KOTC, Ali AL-Shebab, said that this was the 30th ship in KOTC’s fleet and coincides with the fourth phase of KOTC’s revamp and modernization project. He also added that this new tanker is fuel efficient and complies with all the necessary environmental standards.
