Oil production from Iraq’s West Qurna 2 oil field reached 400,000 barrels per day (b/d), Zawya announced.

According to Lukoil, oil output from West Qurna 2 is anticipated to reach 480,000 b/d in 2020 and 800,000 b/d in 2025.

Lukoil is Russia’s second-largest oil producer and it started drilling new wells at Iraq’s West Qurna-2 oilfield in February.
