Intertek has won a multi-year third party inspection procurement contract for the South Oil Company (SOC) in Iraq, a national Iraqi company responsible for all the oil and gas projects in southern Iraq, reported Trade Arabia.

This is the first time SOC has appointed a third party inspection company to help ensure the quality and safety of all their projects, said a statement.

Intertek’s job will be to verify the quality of products and processes throughout the supply chain; from the sourcing of materials through to the manufacturing and fabrication of products.
