Halliburton has launched the Xaminer® Deep Testing logging service, the latest addition to its Reservoir Xaminer™ formation testing portfolio, aimed at enhancing early-stage reservoir evaluation and decision-making, not a press release by the company.
The new service is designed to address increasingly complex reservoir environments, including stacked, laminated, heterogeneous, and varying permeability formations. Developed in collaboration with operators, it enables deep-reading producibility insights and early boundary identification, supporting integrated reservoir evaluation strategies alongside conventional drill stem testing (DST).
The Xaminer Deep Testing logging service allows operators, in a single run, to identify fluids and reservoir boundaries, assess connectivity, and evaluate overall reservoir potential ahead of full-scale testing. It features an extended radius of investigation, high-resolution pressure measurements, and multizone testing capability, providing critical data to guide timely development and completion decisions.
Additionally, the service integrates with Halliburton’s digital reservoir evaluation workflows, enabling operators to make more confident, data-driven decisions earlier in the well lifecycle and maximize asset value, particularly in complex reservoir settings.
