After completing the new development well A-15, Gemsa Petroleum Company’s (Gempetco) production exceeded 8,000 barrels per day (bbl/d) from both Zafarana and Gemsa fields, according to the General Trade Union of Petroleum Workers (GTUPW).

The new development well A-15 increased production rate by 1,500 bbl/d, in addition to this, the company has completed the repair works for the two wells SE-11 and SE-15 in the Gemsa field. Currently, the company’s drilling and repair plan is underway with the aim to re-route a well and repair two others. On that note, the company’s production rate is expected to exceed 9,000 bbl/d.
