The Engineering for the Petroleum and Process Industries (ENPPI) organized an extensive meeting at the company’s headquarters on the occasion of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work. The event aligns with the strategy of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (MoPMR) and the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), which attach paramount importance to establishing a culture of security and safety.

The meeting featured live broadcasts from the company’s work sites and projects both inside and outside Egypt. It was held under the slogan: “Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation in Health, Occupational Safety, and Environmental Protection (HSE).”

Furthermore, the meeting included the screening of a series of recorded videos highlighting artificial intelligence applications in occupational safety, health, and process safety management. A short video was also presented, outlining key safety requirements for working within project and operational areas.

Mohamed Awad, ENPPI’s General Manager in information technology (IT), delivered a presentation exploring the future prospects of using artificial intelligence. Additionally, Tamer Azeem, ENPPI Projects HSE Section Head, also gave a presentation showcasing how ENPPI integrates AI and digital transformation into its HSE, particularly in international projects, through the Occupational Safety and Health Command Center via smart cameras and monitoring screens.

During the ceremony, the Egyptian Natural Gas Company (GASCO) presented a certificate of appreciation to ENPPI for recording 8 million safe working hours in the Amreya Gas Complex Development Project.
