Emirates National Oil Company’s (ENOC) LEED Gold certified service station has completed 40% of its construction and will be open to the public in June, according to a press release.
It is worth noting that the station is expected to be equipped with six pumps to serve up to 80,000 liters of fuel, which can fuel up to 2,000 vehicles daily. In addition to this, the station will rely on energy-efficient solutions and expected to achieve around 48% of power savings.
Not only that, but it will save up to 30% by using high efficiency LED fixtures instead of regular LED. The structure of the service station’s canopy is constructed from carbon fiber, making it three times stronger and five times lighter than steel.
ENOC announced in February that they plan to launch 22 service stations across the UAE by 2020 as well as boosting its existing 136 service stations to 193 across the UAE by end of 2021.
