Egypt Oil & Gas (EOG) learned that President Sisi and the new Prime Minister, Sherif Ismail, asked EGPC Chairman Tarek El-Molla to look after the affairs of the Petroleum Ministry until a new petroleum minister is officially appointed. El Molla’s responsibilities revolve around following up on the projects agreed to with the heads of the oil companies.
Prime Minister Ismail also mandated El Molla to endorse the results of activities of all oil companies during the last fiscal year, highlighting the pressing need to move ahead with the development plans in all concession areas in accordance with the schedule agreed upon in advance.
