Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, reviewed the petroleum products’ distribution system ahead of Eid al-Fitr, according to a statement.
The minister held a meeting to examine the status of fuel warehouses as well as fuel stations and sales outlets. He followed up on securing butane for the local market during the period of vacation, stressing the necessity to keep butane plants working during that time.
The meeting delved into showcasing the mechanisms and technological solutions of the distribution process. Such methods include the Automatic Tank Gauging (ATG) system used in fuel stations and warehouses to keep track of the diesel and gasoline stock as well as a GPS tracking technology.
In line with that policy of developing the butane distribution system, Petrogas is currently completing the implementation of a new system that prevents any losses in the shipping areas by installing quick coupling connectors.
El Molla also reviewed the application of, Sign Price, a new technological system that automatically provides any shifts in the prices of petroleum products for all stations and distribution outlets based on the automatic pricing mechanism for petroleum products every three months.
