The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, followed up on the updates of delivering natural gas to the housing units in Port said during his visit to the city, according to a press release.
The Head of Town Gas Company, Yasser Bahnas, said that the company has managed to finish up the natural gas network in Al Arab and Al Manakh districts, serving 10,000 clients, and currently linking around 3,300 clients to the natural gas network is ongoing. Additionally, Bahnas noted that the company has managed to deliver natural gas to about 17,000 clients in several districts.
Concerning the governorate’s total projects, Bahnas remarked that Port said is fully covered with a natural gas network, benefiting about 172,000 clients, in addition to 25,000 clients in Port Fouad city.
Moreover, Bahnas noted that Town gas managed to deliver natural gas to about one million housing units in Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, Ismailia, and Port said governorates during the last five years, representing 30% of the units connected in Egypt, adding that the company achieved unprecedented rates for the second year in a raw through delivering natural gas to 300,000 housing units in 2019.
